Suspected plant, perhaps a conifer

This is a really strange one. I have never found a plant fossil at this site and it is quite a deepwater deposit, but this really looks like it could be from a conifer. There is a chance it could be something like a coral or something else found in the ocean, let me know if you have any idea!
