I need some help with this one. I found this concretion yesterday and I'm thinking it might be a small bone cluster, maybe cetacean. Anyone recognize anything in it? Miocene coastal deposit.
My first decent shark tooth! So stoked with it 😁 It's had a bit of a rough life but I love it. Any shark tooth experts know what kind it could be? Perhaps a mako? It's from a Miocene era deposit.
Fossil hunting on a North Canterbury coast, there's me getting some footage for the next video. I'm holding a concretion containing an unidentified vertebrae. Thanks to @hdsoftail96 for taking the photo.
Second bit of bone for the day, perhaps dolphin or seal? Think I will have to spend some time prepping it to expose more and perhaps get an ID.

I suspect this is a piece of fossil bone. I'm hoping someone could give me some clue as to what it could be from. Area is cretaceous but also has earlier formations close by. Any one want to hazard a guess?
Waiparaconus, still some debate about whether it's a barnacle or coral. Only found in two places in the world, North Canterbury being one of them. I think the other is Antartica. This is my first time finding it, really happy to add it to my collection.
One of my "maybe" concretions was hiding a crab 😁 need to do some restoring before the prepping starts.
Found a fresh, basketball sized concretion this morning. Was still covered in clay so brought it home to see if it has a crab in it. Will update as soon as I know. Its busy drying out at the moment.
Nice chunk of cretaceous era petrified wood from a North Canterbury stream. Shows some good detail in the wood fibre and also nicely agatised sections.

Early morning agate from Oxford. From the basalt formation. Only my second one from this location ever! Made the cold morning worth it 😁
My biggest North Canterbury agate by far. Found it in one of my local rivers in the rain today. Also my first botryoidal agate! What a beauty!
Found my first fossil shark teeth!! 😍 Video of the hunt is on my YouTube channel - link in my bio. This is from a 60 million year old formation on the South Island of New Zealand. Larger one is 1.5cm.

Help with the ID of this please. Found it in a marine formation of cretaceous age in New Zealand. Any one know what it could be? Swipe for more pics and size. Could well be modern and just something that recently died on the site. @the_bone_line found in the river near your vineyards 😀
All sorts of things happening in this agate! This is the only one I have found in the Canterbury basalt formations and has some metal inclusion and sprays. Everytime I look at it I see something new 😁 Scroll for more pics.
My piece of Waipara petrified wood has been cut and polished. Growth rings look amazing! Excited to go find me some more 😁
